FNNF 2018 Award हा प्रतिष्ठेचा पुरस्कार मिळाला. हा पुरस्कार मिळवणारे ते महाराष्ट्रातील सहावे तर पुण्यातील दुसरे आहेत. आज इतका मानसन्मान , नावलौकिक मिळालेल्या या देव
माणसाचे पाय अजूनही जमिनीवर आहेत हे विशेष.
डॉक्टर सूर्यवंशी यांची आणि माझी पहिली भेट पुण्यातील सह्याद्री हॉस्पिटलला या वर्षीच्या जानेवारीत झाले. माझी नुकतीच जन्माला आलेली दोन्ही मुले ( जुळे ) डॉक्टर सूर्यवंशी यांच्या
देखरेखीखाली होती. अजून मी त्यांना भेटलो नव्हतो पण फक्त त्यांच्याबद्धल ऐकून होतो. एक दिवस मला त्यांना भेटण्यास सांगण्यात आले. त्यानुसार मी त्यांच्या चेम्बरमध्ये प्रवेश केला.
इतक्या मोठ्या व्यक्तीमत्वाला भेटताना मी काहीसा दडपणात होतो. मुलांच्या आरोग्याचीही चिंता होतीच. डॉक्टर सूर्यवंशी यांच्या समोर मी बसलो आणि त्यांनी बोलायला सुरुवात केली.
” मला तुमचा शर्ट खूप आवडला आहे. ”
डॉक्टर सूर्यवंशी यांनी पहिले वाक्य उच्चारले आणि मी चक्क उडालो. त्या दिवशी मी जरा जास्तच भडक नक्षीकाम असलेला शर्ट घातलेला होता. त्यांच्या या पहिल्याच खेळकर वाक्याने आमच्यामध्ये झटक्यात मैत्रीचे नाते निर्माण झाले. मी एक कलाकार आहे हे समजल्यावर र्त्यांनी माझ्या या छंदाबद्धल थोडक्यात जाणून घेतले . त्यानंतर माझ्या मुलांच्या आरोग्यावर माहिती देऊन मला पूर्ण आश्वासित केले. डॉक्टरांच्या केबिनमध्ये शिरताना माझ्या मनावर असणारा ताण पूर्णपणे नाहीसा झालेला होता. माझ्या एखाद्या वर्ग मित्राला भेटून मी निघालोय असं मला
वाटलं.
डॉक्टर सूर्यवंशी पंढरपुरातील डॉक्टर शितल शहा यांच्या दवाखान्यात प्रत्येक महिन्याच्या दुसऱ्या ( 2 ) रविवारी भेट देतात व येतील नवजात बालकांची तपासणी करतात. येथे त्यांच्यासह Shital Shah, Sunil Pawa, Sudheer Asabe, Sudeep Shah, Neeraj Shaha हे सर्व तज्ञ डॉक्टर पंढरपूर आणि आसपासच्या बालकांच्या आरोग्याची मनापासून काळजी घेतात. पंढरपुरातील या तज्ञ टीमला नुकताच ” केकेएमएफ पंढरपूर भूषण पुरस्कार ” मिळाला आहे. केकेएमएफटी एक सामाजिक ट्रस्ट हॉस्पिटल आहे जे बाल कल्याणासाठी कार्य करते.
आज नेमका नाताळ आहे. लहान मुलांना खाऊ आणि खेळणी भेट देणारा सांताक्लोज मी बघितलेला नाही पण डॉक्टर प्रदीप सूर्यवंशी यांच्या रुपात मला सांताक्लोजचा भास होतो जो या बाळांना आपुलकीने आरोग्याचे वरदान देतो.
